President, PM greet all concerned on Youth Rally

President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today greeted all concerned on the occasion of the ‘Sixth Youth Rally-2022’ to be held tomorrow.

They issued separate messages on the eve of the day to be observed under the arrangement of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Chattogram District and City Unit and Youth Red Crescent, Chattogram.

In his message, President Abdul Hamid extended his sincere greetings to all the participants of the Youth Rally.

The head of the state hoped that by participating in the 6th Youth Rally, the youth Red Crescent members will be motivated to serve humanity and develop themselves as ideal volunteers.

He said this type of gathering will play an important role in developing the human qualities and making the youth capable of leadership apart from making them educated.

“Youth Red Crescent members will play an expected role in the development of the country from their respective positions,” Hamid hoped.

In her message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her heartfelt greetings to all the participants of the rally, including youth Red Crescent members of schools, colleges and madrasahs and teachers, volunteers, society officials under the jurisdiction of the district and city units.

The volunteers of Red Crescent have been conducting humanitarian activities across the country with courage and success in any disaster of the country for long, the Premier said.
During the current Awami League government, the Youth Red Crescent program has been recognized as a ‘co-educational program’, Sheikh Hasina said.

She hoped that all the participating young students will be educated in self-education along with institutional education by receiving training in the rally.

She also hoped that they will play a leading role in building a Sonar Bangladesh free from hunger, poverty as dreamt by Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“I firmly believe that this movement will become more dynamic with the active participation of the youth Red Crescent members and will play an important role in establishing world peace,” she added.

Both the President and the Premier wished the 6th Youth Rally-2022 a success.
