Mirza Fakhrul says ,BNP won’t participate in polls sans caretaker govt

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the party has taken on the field through divisional mass rallies to bring down the illegal government.

He said, “BNP will not participate in any election in the country including the next general election without caretaker government.”

The BNP veteran said this while addressing Rangpur divisional mass rallies at the historical Collector Eidgah ground in the city on Saturday (October 29) afternoon.

Attending the rallies as a chief guest, Mirza Fakhrul said, “We will overthrow this government through mass movement. Our only demand is to overthrow this government through agitation for forming a neutral non-partisan caretaker government in the country and to form the government through impartial elections under that government.”

Demanding the unconditional release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, he said, “Despite being a three-time successful prime minister, this government did not allow her to undergo medical treatment. She should be granted unconditional release immediately.”
