FBCCI’s Director Kazi Ertaza Hassan arrested over fraud

The police have arrested Kazi Ertaza Hassan, one of the directors of the country’s apex body for trade and commerce, FBCCI, over alleged fraud and cheating.

He was held from Gulshan-2 of the capital on Tuesday, said Abu Yusuf, additional deputy superintendent of police (media) of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Ertaza was found to be linked to a case filed over forgery and fraudelence, on January 10 in Khilkhet police station.

One Saiful Islam, the brother of Asian Group Chairman Nazrul Islam, is the plaintiff.

Alongside being a member of the Awami League’s central committee for industries and commerce, Ertaza is the editor of a Bangla and an English daily.
