Prime Minister takes responsibility of 11-year-old Rabbi’s education

Rabbi works at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital’s (NIO&H) canteen

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took over the responsibility of 11-year-old Rabbi, he  works at the canteen of the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIO&H). Rabbi’s father passed away, the boy told the prime minister that he wants to go to school.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday July 15 like other patients received eye treatment at the NIO&H. buying a Tk10 ticket.

While the prime minister leaving the hospital, she exchanged pleasantries with the patients, their relatives, the doctors, nurses, and employees of the hospital as well.

At that time, the prime minister saw Rabbi there standing with the crowd. She went up to him and asked what he does, with whom he came to the hospital, and which grade he currently studies.

Rabbi said he works at the canteen of the NIO&H and lives there. His father was dead. He studied up to second grade before joining the canteen.

He also said to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, “I want to go back to my mother in Chandpur. I want to resume my studies.”

The prime minister was deeply emotional when she heard Rabbi’s story. She took over the responsibility of his educational expenses and gave necessary instructions to concerned officials to take action in this regard and to properly implement it.
