Hajj flights begin May nine

Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan said Hajj flights are scheduled to begin operations from May nine.

He made the comment while responding to journalists’ queries at an event held at Advocate Tarek Memorial Auditorium in Mymensingh on Saturday. 

The minister said, “The Hajj package cost this year dropped by Tk 1,02,000. Everything is moving forward smoothly, and there are currently no issues. The first Hajj flight will start from May nine. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the flights on May eight.”

Addressing the event as the chief guest, Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan said, “In our society, the religious leaders of their respective religions have a special importance among people.

“If we can make these leaders financially independent, and if we can make them more skilled and efficient in fulfilling their professional responsibilities, then the country and its people will be able to reap more benefits.”
