Economist Ibrahim Khaled passes away
Renowned economist and former Bangladesh Bank deputy governor Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled passed away on early Wednesday. He was 80.
He breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) around 5:30am.
The renowned banker was taken to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at the beginning of February after he was diagnosed with coronavirus.
He was moved to the BSMMU on February 21 for better treatment. Ibrahim Khaled also served as the managing director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
