Malaysia bans Bangladeshi entry
Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has said that Malaysia will ban entry of nationals from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal and Indian citizens.
He disclosed the information in a statement on Wednesday but he did not specify from when the ban would come into effect.
Malaysia detected its first case of a highly infectious coronavirus variant first identified in India, reports Reuters.
So, the country already banned flights to and from India and prohibited travellers from any Indian destination from entering the country to help prevent the spread of the new variant.
