Gold price drops again

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce the price of gold in the country’s market. The price of gold has decreased by 1 thousand 166 taka. As a result, the price of good quality gold will decrease by 77 thousand 216 taka. Which until now was 78 thousand 382 taka. 

This information was given in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Sunday (July 17). 

From Monday (July 18), gold will be traded across the country according to the new price.

According to Bajus, considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Jewelery Association has decided the new price of gold, which will be effective from July 18.

Due to the decrease in price, it will cost 77 thousand 216 taka to buy good quality 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) from July 18. The price of 21 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,166 to Tk 73,816. 933 taka per bar of 18 carat gold; Now it will be sold at 63 thousand 119 taka and the price of traditional method has been reduced by 758 taka to 52 thousand 721 taka.

However, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, the price of 22 carat silver has been fixed at Tk 1516. The price of 21 carat silver remains unchanged at Tk 1435, 18 carat silver at Tk 1225 and traditional silver at Tk 933.

Till Sunday, 78 thousand 382 rupees have been spent to buy 22 carat good quality gold. The price of 21 carat gold was 74 thousand 883 taka, 18 carat was 64 thousand 152 taka and the price of traditional method was 53 thousand 479 taka.
