Gold worth Tk 10 crore seized at Shahjalal Airport
The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department has seized 120 gold bars (about 13.92 kg) worth about Tk 10 crore from a flight of state-flagged Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Dubai.
The gold was seized from a plane that landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday (October 5th) night.
The operation was led by Abu Hanif Mohammad Abdul Ahad, assistant director of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department. The gold was recovered at this time.
Details will be announced at a press conference at the airport at 11am on Wednesday.
