Bangabandhu laid foundation of Bangladesh in water, land, space: Hasan

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud today said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had laid the foundation of Bangladesh in the water, land and space along with establishing an independent state for Bangalees.

“We have resolved the enclave problem by standing on the foundation. We have earned maritime area in the Bay of Bengal and our satellite is orbiting the earth,” he said.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the launch of private satellite TV channels of the country through ‘Bangabandhu Satellite-1’ organized by Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited-BSCL at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Thursday evening.

For this, the flags of victory of Bangladesh are flying in water, land and space, he added.

Terming the brutal assassination of August 15, 1975 as a “palace conspiracy”, the minister said the trials of Bangabandhu killers have been done. Now, it is the demand of time to hold trial of those who were the masterminds behind the brutal assassination to unmask them before the people and let the future generation know the history, said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary.

Zunaid urged the new generation to know about the life and works of Bangabandhu.

Zafar Iqbal highlighted the contribution of Bangabandhu as the architect of Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the architect of modern Bangladesh and the advancement of the young generation in information technology.
