BPL’s logo unveiled

The logo of TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football was formally unveiled yesterday (Sunday) through a formal ceremony.

The BPL will begin from Tuesday (Feb 3) with the participating of twelve clubs.

In this regards, the logo unveiling and captains meet ceremony was held at the city’s local hotel.

Bangladesh Football Federation’s (BFF) president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, BFF’s senior  vice president and professional league management committee’s  chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, BFF’s vice presidents Ataur Rahman Bhuyan Manik and Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi,  Bashundhara Group’s vice chairman and T-Sports managing director  Safowan Sobhan, TVS Auto Bangladesh’s managing director  Ikram Hossain, T-Sports‘s chief executive officer Ishtiak Sadek, K-Sports’s director Ashfaq Ahmed, BFF‘s executive members, BFF’s general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, were among others, present on the occasion.

After the logo unveiling ceremony, BFF’s president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin talking to the pressmen, said to avoid controversy with the referees, work is underway to conduct some matches of the league with the foreign referees.

The BFF president said the national team lost last three international matches in the last moments and he hoped that through the league, the players would able to make themselves properly and the national team able to come out from this situation in the future.

The BFF will have to take extra precaution  to conduct the league due to spike of coronavirus. So, no footballers will be allowed to participate in the league without negative COVID-19 certificate.

BFF’s general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag said they will start the league after ensuring their medical COVID protocol. In this case each player will have to go through test and the players will be allowed to participate in the league subjected to their negative test result.

The captains of the twelve participating clubs, who were also present on the occasion, expressed their expectation and target in the league.
