COVID-19 situation is under control: Health Minister
Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said COVID-19 situation in Bangladesh is under control as the government has taken massive multiple initiatives including nationwide vaccination programme.
“We have been able to vaccinate over 17 crore doses of vaccines….meaning a large segment of people received coronavirus jabs,” he told a function of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in the city, an official release said.
The health minister said only 12 percent people in countries of African continent received coronavirus vaccine.
Bangladesh is expanding COVID-19 vaccination campaign including booster dose to combat the spread of the deadly virus, he added.
