Facebook is removing people who did not activate Facebook Protect
Facebook is now locking out people who did not respond to e-mails asking to activate Facebook Protect, The Verge reported.
Many Facebook users received e-mails titled “Your account requires advanced security from Facebook Protect”.
The e-mail asked the users to activate the Facebook Protect feature by clicking on a link. It also warned people that they would be locked out if they did not click the link by the mentioned deadline. However, many users completely ignored the e-mail as it looked like a spam.
I got locked out from Facebook indefinitely today because I didn’t respond to emails from FB (that looked like a scam) about its new Facebook Protect system, which I was required to enable by today. So far, the text and security key options don’t work, many report. pic.twitter.com/0aXbiqzLv7

According to Facebook, it is a “security program for groups of people that are more likely to be targeted by malicious hackers, such as human rights defenders, journalists, and government officials.” It is to ensure maximum security for the users.
The e-mail was sent via security@facebookmail.com
The deadline for most people was March 17 which is why many people have now been locked out of their accounts.
Facebook is trying to help but it is not necessarily working.
Some people said that they did try to activate the feature but they still have been locked out.
this Facebook protect thing is so annoying because it’s not letting me turn it on and I need Facebook for work so I’m really hoping Facebook fixes the stupid code
