Coaching centres to remain close from Nov 3-Dec 14

The education ministry has announced to keep all the coaching centres across the country closed from November 3 to December 14 due to the Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent exams.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni made the announcement at a press conference at the secretariat on Wednesday. A meeting on disciplinary issues of the exam was held before the press conference.

Earlier, the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board of Dhaka published the revised routine of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams.

According to the revised routine released on Wednesday, the exams will start from November 6 as declared earlier.

The theoretical exams will end on December 13. The practical exams will start from December  15 and will end on December 22.

The exam time for all the subjects will be two hours. The exams will start at 11.00am in the morning shift. The written exam will end at 1.00pm.

The exams in the afternoon shift will start at 2.00pm and will continue till 4.00pm.

The MCQ part of the exams will be held first and the creative or theoretical part will be after that. The exam time for the MCQ section will only be 20 minutes. The exam time for the creative part will be one hour and 40 minutes.
