S Korea role in land digitalisation appreciated
South Korea has contributed frontline role in digitalisation of land management in Bangladesh, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury said apreciating the biliteral relationship.
During a meeting with South Korean Ambassador on Wednesday, Minister Saifuzzaman also expressed ‘strong optimism’ on the strengthening of the strategic partnership between two countries.
They also recalled successful visit of South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon to Dbaka last year, said a news release of the minister.
Terming Bangladesh as a one of the priority partners, Ambassador LEE Jang-keun praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visionary leadership behind the country’s rapid development.
After the meeting with South Korean diplomat, Land Minister Saifuzzaman handed over the ‘Innovation Award 2019-20’ and ‘Integrity Award 2018-19’ to officers of the ministry.
Land Ministry deputy secretary Doulutuzzaman Khan won the first and second prizes of ‘Innovation Award 2019-20’ for ‘virtual record room’ and ‘land service mobile app a click away’ projects. Dhaka zonal settlement officerMominur Rashid won the third prize for contribution to ‘online land survey management’.
Land record and survey department Director General Taslimul Islam, deputy secretary Doulutuzzaman Khan and computer operator Zahidul Islam won the Integrity Award 2018-19 in respective categories.
