The upcoming Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe is on track despite the surge of corona cases in the country.
Last Monday, Zimbabwe’s Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) instructed an end to all sporting activities in light of rising Covid-19 cases.
Since then doubts have been raised over Bangladesh’s plan to travel to the African nation later this month for one Test match, three ODIs and as many T20s.
Bangladesh cricketers are currently busy playing the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 and scheduled to board flight for Zimbabwe on June 29.
Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury brushed off concerns over the tour saying the BCB is in continuous communication with Zimbabwe Cricket over the tour.
