Sheikh Hasina is the name of a struggling anecdote – Information Minister

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, ‘Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, is the name of a struggling anecdote, the name of a living legend.

Under her leadership, democracy has been established in the country and we have come a long way on the road of economic liberation and building the golden Bengal of the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu. Due to her leadership, Bangladesh is now a dignified country to the world.

The minister was speaking as the chief guest while unveiling the wrapper of the ‘Photo Album’ compiled by the Information Department on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 75th birthday at the PID conference room at the Secretariat on Monday (September 27).

Uner the Chairmanship of Chief Information Officer Shahenur Miah, Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md. Maqbool Hossain addressed the function as a special guest .

Awami League joint general secretary Dr. Hasan said, ‘Tuesday, September 28 is the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu. I have been her personal assistant for some time. I noticed, she doesn’t celebrate birthdays in her own house. Don’t cut the cake. If organize any event, she don’t want to go to it. So we celebrating her birthday on behalf of the party without informing her.

Noting that this year’s birthday was significant, the Information Minister said, “I pray today that we may celebrate her 100th birthday and that I may live till that day.”

The Information Minister mentioned that the life of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been a struggle since childhood. She said Bangabandhu was mostly in jail in her childhood. That’s why she didn’t get close to her father all the time. Bangabandhu was in jail at the time of her marriage. On the gallows while having children. She and her other brothers and sisters did not get close to her father because of politics.

Calling Sheikh Hasina the psyche of democracy, Hasan Mahmud said, “There are no huts in the country now, people wearing torn clothes are not seen, people are not barefoot.” Under her leadership, poverty in the country has come down from 40 percent to 20 percent.

The country has changed, Dhaka, Chittagong cannot be recognized from the sky. It is not because of any magic, it has changed because of Sheikh Hasina’s magical leadership. Our wish is that she will continue to lead in this way and so that she can fulfill Bangabandhu’s dream.

In a special guest speech Information and Broadcasting Secretary  Maqbool Hossain said, “We have taken initiative to celebrate the birthday of the Prime Minister again.” There will be a total of 14 three-day programs on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s birthday, including newspapers, BTV and radio.

Secretary Maqbool Hossain said, the people of Bangladesh had lost their leadership after the assassination of Bangabandhu but that gap has been filled after the Prime Minister returned in 1971 and became the party president. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh holds a special place in the world court.
