Elite sniper, model from Brazil killed in Russian military strike fighting for Ukraine

A 39-year-old Brazilian model was killed in the Russian missile strike last week while she was voluntarily fighting for Ukraine against Russia’s invasion.

Thalito do Valle, a Brazilian model and volunteer fighter in Ukraine, was killed in action last week when Russian forces hit a bunker she was stationed at in the eastern city of Kharkiv, according to the Daily Mail.

The model joined the Ukrainian forces as a sniper, who also reportedly fought against ISIS in Iraq before joining the fight against Vladimir Putin’s army in Ukraine.

Thalita, who previously studied law after working as a model and an actress, had documented her experience in warzones on YouTube.

The model had previously survived a Russian bombing in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.

According to UK Mirror, the missile attack also led to the death of former Brazilian Army soldier Douglas Burigo, who went back to the bunker to find Thalita.

During her posting in Iraq against ISIS, Thalita received sniper training as she joined the Peshmergas, the armed military forces of the independent Kurdistan region of Iraq.
