ODI WC Journey of BD Tigress Begins

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup is starting from March 4. The Bengal Tigresses will play their first match on March 5 against South Africa. This is the debut for Bangladesh Tigresses.

Before going to play in the World Cup, captain Nigar Sultana Joty said this time there is a huge opportunity to show their ability. She also said at various ICC events after moving to New Zealand that they are looking forward to seizing the opportunity. This time in a video of ICC, the same tone of hope was heard in her voice.

Many of the players have been playing together for 10-12 years. They are also playing T20 World Cup regularly. But nothing great has yet been done to attract the attention of the world. This time they are waiting for the thrill.

“This is a big opportunity for Team Bangladesh. Our first (ODI) World Cup. It is on this platform that we want to show that we are improving and that we can compete in world cricket,” Joty said.

According to Nigar, if they can do something good in a place like the World Cup, many more girls of the new generation of Bangladesh will be interested in cricket.
